SKID-E is a stair chair designed to evacuate people with mobility limitations during an emergency, when lifts are unavailable or out of service. Complying with the EU MDR, this chair provides a smooth, quick and safe evacuation for both the patient and the operator. Two self-braking tracks, an extendable handhold and a robust but lightweight frame offer stability and control during stairway descent operations. It offers high standards of maneuverability and control at a very accessible price. It works well in confined spaces due to its compact frame and yet it can carry up to 180 kg/397 lb (the version SKID-E MAX can reach a load limit of 250 kg/551 lb).
